AC PAW PET OF THE WEEK
Minx is one of 12 cats and 7 kittens rescued from a home that the owners were being evicted from. They didn't want to just throw them all outside to live on their own, so they asked AC PAW to help. An AC PAW volunteer and a volunteer from Munchkins Mission headed up the rescue and now... here's Minx! Minx is an affectionate and TALKATIVE kitty! She's a bit thin right now, as all of these rescued cats were, but will fill out to be a beautiful cat. She gets along well with other cats and has lived with a dog. She loves to sit on your shoulder and tolerates having her longer hair brushed. She does sometimes stick her tongue out at you but it is just her way of showing how content she is! Minx is really pretty darn close to being a perfect kitty. Her one drawback is that she is an escape artist and her adopter needs to take extra care to ensure she doesn't get outside. Because of this, we recommend an adult home or a home with older attentive children... no little ones who may open a door for her. If you would like to adopt Minx or would like more information, please fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire or contact us today.
Every year between 6 to 8 million dogs and cats enter shelters across the United States. Out of that number, 3 to 4 million are euthanized simply because there are not enough homes for them.

AC PAW, a 501(c)(3) organization, started as a vision of two people, Brian Manley and June McGrath, to ensure a safe haven for animals from abuse, hunger, disease, and death. AC PAW was founded to give these animals a second chance at life. We all know too well the over-population problem happening at animal shelters, so one of our core missions is to spay/neuter all of our rescued animals prior to adoption. We are officially in our 21st year of volunteer service, with a handful of dedicated volunteers and a small number of donors. AC PAW began on July 1, 1995 and was officially incorporated on Jan 16, 1996. During this time we have rescued and placed over 10,000 dogs and cats into loving homes. We are always looking for animal lovers willing to put some time and effort into volunteering or becoming a foster home. Any kind of donations such as financial support, pet food, litter, blankets, towels, collars, or any kind of miscellaneous items would also be greatly appreciated.
